These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the book driving test service (“Service”) provided by Book Drive Test (“the Provider”) via bookdrivetest.co.uk. By using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use the Service.
1.1 We provide a cancellation monitoring and driving test rescheduling service for clients seeking earlier test appointments through the DVSA.
1.2 We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or in any way officially connected with the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA), the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA), or any other government agency.
1.3 All services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. No guarantees are given regarding availability or successful outcomes. This does not affect your statutory rights.
2.1 You must provide accurate and complete information at the time of registration.
2.2 You must hold a valid and existing driving test booking with the DVSA throughout the period that the Service is active.
2.3 Your test booking must be at least one (1) calendar month away at the time of sign-up.
2.4 Your cancellation search window must cover a minimum period of one (1) calendar month, including weekends.
2.5 By using our Service and providing your driving licence number, you authorise us to access and change your test booking details on your behalf.
2.6 It is your responsibility to change or cancel your test appointment if needed and to ensure this is done within the DVSA’s cancellation or amendment deadline. We are not liable for any loss of the DVSA fee due to inaction.
2.7 You must ensure you attend your test appointment with the appropriate documentation and a suitable vehicle. This is entirely your responsibility.
2.8 If you have recently failed a test, your search window must begin from the 10th working day after the failed test, in line with DVSA regulations.
2.9 If you wish to cancel our Service:
You must email us a written termination request.
We will confirm cancellation by email — your request is not valid until you receive this confirmation.
Without a confirmed cancellation, we will continue to provide the Service and assume that you wish to remain an active client.
3.1 Our service fee becomes due once we have successfully booked a test date that matches your provided preferences.
3.2 If payment is not received within 48 hours of notification, we reserve the right to either:
Cancel the test booking via the DVSA website, or
Change the test date or test centre without further notice, depending on what is permitted by the DVSA system.
3.3 We accept no responsibility for any financial loss (including but not limited to the DVSA test fee) resulting from the cancellation or alteration of a test booking due to non-payment.
3.4 DVSA charges:
Weekday test: £62
Evening, weekend, or bank holiday test: £75
If you request a weekend/evening/bank holiday test, you must pay an additional £13 to cover the higher DVSA fee.
4.1 We are not responsible for any loss arising from:
Non-refundable, short-notice test bookings, or
Your failure to cancel or amend a booking within the DVSA’s refund window.
4.2 We accept no responsibility and will not issue refunds if your test is rescheduled or cancelled by:
DVSA
Your driving instructor
External circumstances such as examiner illness, industrial action, test centre closures, COVID-19 restrictions, or weather-related issues.
4.3 We are not responsible for test cancellations due to learner or instructor errors, including lack of documents or unsuitable vehicles.
4.4 Short Notice Test Bookings
4.4.1 We offer bookings for short notice driving tests, defined as test dates scheduled within 10 calendar days from the current date.
4.4.2 Short notice tests cannot be changed, cancelled, or refunded once booked, in accordance with DVSA policy. The DVSA does not allow amendments to short notice tests, and we do not provide any form of refund or replacement for these bookings.
4.4.3 We will ensure that any short notice test we book matches the preferences you have provided (including test centre, date range, and any time slot).
4.4.4 By submitting a booking request to us, you confirm that you understand and accept the non-refundable and non-changeable nature of short notice test bookings. We do not accept any reason for rejecting a short notice test once it has been successfully booked.
5.1 We are not liable for booking errors or failures due to problems with the DVSA website or system.
5.2 There may be times when we cannot perform searches due to DVSA site downtime or restrictions. We accept no responsibility for service interruptions beyond our control.
5.3 Do not make any arrangements (e.g. time off work, booking instructors) until you have official confirmation from both us and the DVSA.
6.1 We record and store relevant information, including your personal details, search activity, booking details, and communication history.
6.2 It is your responsibility to ensure your contact details (email) are correct. We are not responsible for missed notifications due to incorrect or invalid contact details.
6.3 By using our Service, you consent to receiving communication from us via email. Your data will not be shared with third parties.
7.1 We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time, with or without notice.
7.2 These Terms may be amended from time to time. Continued use of the Service following any changes indicates your acceptance of the updated Terms.
8.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
8.2 Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
